This was also a chance for us to see Prescott Circus Theater in action. There was a lot of juggling, dancing, clowning around. What a great way to end the year!
This week is the beginning of the end. We just finished our last round of tests and are so excited about becoming fourth graders. Our plants are growing really tall and are starting to wrap around their straws.

We love our field trip to Chabot Space and Science Center. We had a chance to observe and interact with the phases of the moon. We had an opportunity to experience what it is like to wear a space suit. We loved the planetaruim show and our class about the moon was so much fun!! We love visiting the telescopes and had a chance to look at Venus and the sun. We even had a chance to look at sunspots using a solar telescope called a The Sunspotter!! This week was our second annual science family night!! We had some much fun with making gak, touching a snake, and launching bottle rockets! The circus theater performed and had fun learning about all the different stations there! Our bush beans are really starting to grow and we started to keep track of the growth of our plants by taking measurements and graphing the results. It is that time of year again. We are showing the state what we have learned this year! After testing we learned more about moon phases and crayfish! We learned about all the different parts of a crayfish and we had fun watching a years worth of moon phases and writing about what we noticed. We also had a chance to observe what was happening in the hydroponics tanks. Mrs.Day!?! What does these pictures of a garden have to do with hydroponics? Glad you asked. I thought it would be nice to show you pictures from my apartments backyard garden. The connection I saw was how you can start a seed in a hydroponics tank and then put the seedlings in a garden. Just thought it was cool! I love this time of year!! We got a chance to look at all the cool things that every class has done for science this year. We had learned about fish behavior from K/1 and we had a chance to see how our school liked our project "The Moon". We had fun with Mr. B from Project Seed. He was here to work with us on math and we learned some cool strategies with him. |
